If you do not have an account already, please sign up, then use the link again to get to the appropriate items. Please do not pay for Credit Recovery or Enrichment with your student's cafeteria account.

Summer Courses and Learning Opportunities

Summer 2021

To meet the diverse learning needs of our students, North Hills School District will offer the following differentiated learning opportunities during the summer of 2021 for students who have completed grades K-12. These opportunities include summer math and literacy, credit recovery, summer enrichment and summer tutorials.

Elementary Summer Literacy and Summer Math

These programs are designed for elementary students who, based on performance data, would benefit from additional instruction before progressing to the next grade.

  • When: Monday-Thursday, June 7 - July 1 at Highcliff Elementary or Monday-Thursday, July 12 - August 5 at Ross Elementary -- REGISTRATION CLOSED
  • Instructional Model: In-person, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Eligibility: Determined by student performance data, students who qualify received mailed invitation letter
  • Fee: No cost

6th Grade Summer Literacy and Summer Math

These programs are designed for students in Grade 6 who, based on performance data, would benefit from additional instruction before progressing to the seventh grade.

  • When: June 7 - July 1 or July 12 - August 5 -- REGISTRATION CLOSED
  • Instructional Model: In-person, 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • Eligibility: Determined by student performance data, students who qualify received mailed invitation letter
  • Fee: No cost

Credit Recovery - Grades 7-12

The credit recovery program is designed for students that have failed one or more of their core courses (English, Math, Science and Social Studies) during the previous school year. Successful completion of the credit recovery course will allow the failing transcript grade to be adjusted.

  • When: June 14 - July 1 and July 12 - July 29 (6 weeks total) -- -- REGISTRATION CLOSED 
  • Instructional Model: Asynchronous
  • Eligibility: Grades 7-12
  • Fee: $100

Summer Enrichment - Grades 9-11

The summer enrichment program is designed for high school students that would like to alleviate scheduling conflicts in the upcoming school year. Students may take Health, Physical Education, Psychology, and Sociology courses during the summer for transcript credit.

  • When: June 14 - July 1 and July 12 - July 29 (6 weeks total) -- REGISTRATION CLOSED
  • Instructional Model: Asynchronous
  • Eligibility: Grades 9-11
  • Fee: $100

Summer Tutorials - Grades 7-12

The summer tutorial program is designed for students who have completed and passed one of the offered core courses (Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA) during the 2020-2021 school year, but desire additional instruction. Successfully completing the summer tutorial course will result in a 10 percent boost to the student’s final grade in the course taken during the 2020-21 school year. The tutorial program for Summer 2021 has been canceled.

  • When: June 14 - July 1 and July 12 - July 29 (6 weeks total) -- REGISTRATION CLOSED
  • Instructional Model: In-person* (students must attend a minimum of 10/12 sessions)
  • Eligibility: Grades 7-12
  • Fee: $100 
*Registration numbers will determine if a course occurs.
