Dr. Bezila serves the North Hills School District as the Director of Pupil Services. Prior to arriving at North Hills in 2012, Dr. Bezila served as Director of Special Education and Coordinator of Special Services in the Slippery Rock Area School District. Dr. Bezila began her career as a secondary special education teacher for the Ellwood City Area School District.

Dr. Bezila earned her bachelor’s degree in the areas of mentally and physically handicapped and elementary education and master’s degree in education from Slippery Rock University where she also completed her Special Education Supervisory Certificate. She holds a doctoral degree in administrative leadership from Point Park University. 

As the Director of Pupil Services, Dr. Bezila assists and contributes to the planning, organization, management, and coordination of special education programs including gifted education and English as a Second Language. She evaluates existing programs as an ongoing responsibility and recommends changes and additions as needed. 

Dr. Bezila assists in the hiring, selection and recommendation of special education personnel and directs, coordinates, and collaborates with special education staff, building-level administrators, and central office administrators to ensure compliance with regulations and laws pertaining to special education.
