A group of North Hills Middle School students chatted virtually with similarly aged students from Norway.

Held annually at the high school each May, Arts Alive showcases the creative accomplishments of North Hills students in grades K-12.

North Hills Middle School students will be selling poppy flowers at next month’s Arts Alive event to raise money for veterans and military families impacted by war.

The event held each April raised $21,326 for Make-A-Wish and the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

LaMont Lyons has been named the district’s new Director of Student and Community Engagement and will chair the School Climate and Culture Council, a new initiative that will focus on the student experience to ensure inclusivity for all.
