NHSD now using SchoolCafe for student cafeteria account management

Posted Saturday, August 12, 2023

SchoolCafe flyerNorth Hills is now using SchoolCafe as its new student cafeteria account management platform and point-of-sale debit system. School Cafe replaces MySchoolBucks and all of last year’s remaining balances in MySchoolBucks have been transferred to SchoolCafe.

SchoolCafe has both an online portal and an app that allows families to manage student accounts and make payments, and view menus and nutrition information.

Parents/guardians can create an account (if they do not already have one) and then add each student using the student’s ID number. The student’s ID number can be found in PowerSchool under the “Demographics” tab.

Complete instructions along with each student’s ID number will be sent from SchoolCafe via email the week of Aug. 14.

Menus can be found online at www.nhsd.net/menus. Breakfast is free for all students for the entire 2023-24 school year. Lunch costs $2.50.

Families that need assistance paying for school meals can apply for assistance online via SchoolCafe or using the form linked here

SchoolCafe funds are also used to pay for morning care, a service provided by the NHSD Food Service Department in all four of our elementary schools.
