The North Hills School District Board of Education has presented its 2023 Community Service Award to Sylvia Lynn.

Mrs. Lynn has spent hundreds of hours helping others and making a difference in our community.

She served for 10 years on the NHSD Board of Education, has volunteered for many years at North Hills Community Outreach and has served for 11 years each on the Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry and Glade Run boards.

Lynn continues to volunteer on the Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church Sunday School Council as well as many other local community groups.

Last year’s Community Service Award recipient Tom Baker nominated Sylvia for the award and writes that he has been “blown away by her kindness and community focus.”

“Sylvia Lynn is truly one of a kind when it comes to being a positive influence across Ross and West View, within our school district and across the region," he said.
