North Hills High School's annual Open House will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 30 beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. This event is for parents/guardians ONLY. Please do not bring your high school student or siblings to the event.
Parents will follow an abbreviated version of their child’s schedule, meet their teachers, and learn about the coursework and expectations.
Please bring your child's Day 6 schedule (printed or electronic), with classroom numbers. Please note: You must use a web browser and not the PowerSchool app to see room numbers. The cycle day, i.e. Day 6, only applies to some students who have lab courses or courses meeting three days of the 6-day rotation. Most parents/guardians will follow their child's normal, daily schedule.
The Open House schedule is as follows:
- HR/Period 1: 6:30-6:40 p.m.
- Period 2: 6:45-6:55 p.m.
- Period 3: 7:00-7:10 p.m.
- Period 4: 7:15-7:25 p.m.
- Period 5: 7:30-7:40 p.m.
- Period 6: 7:45-7:55 p.m.
- Period 7: 8:00-8:10 p.m.
- Period 8: 8:15-8:25 p.m.
- Period 9: 8:30-8:40 p.m.
During each period, teachers will share course objectives, instructional strategies and classroom procedures. Parents/guardians can spend study halls, lunches or other breaks in their child’s schedule exploring resources from our available clubs and activities in the cafeteria, touring the high school or meeting with your child’s counselor in the Counseling Resource Center (CRC).
North Hills Student Ambassadors will be on hand to provide directions and assist as necessary.
