Softball hosts green-out for cerebral palsy awareness

Posted Friday, April 26, 2024

The North Hills High School softball team hosted a #TenleysTeam green out at team’s game vs. Shaler on April 22 to raise awareness for cerebral palsy in support of Tenley Price, the daughter of longtime NHSD employee Nataly Price.

Players from both teams wore green shirts during warmups in support and Tenley, who was diagnosed with CP last summer, threw out the first pitch!

Nataly has worked in the athletics office at our high school since 2010 and spent time as a softball assistant coach.

This is the third green out held this school year. Green outs were also held at a boys soccer game in October and a boys basketball game in December.

Prior to the basketball game, green t-shirts were sold with proceeds benefiting the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, where Tenley now attends. North Hills cheerleaders also sold green bows.
