Posted Tuesday, December 1, 2020

PITTSBURGH -- The North Hills School District has recorded eight new COVID-19 cases from Sunday evening, Nov. 29, through Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 1.

  • 1 North Hills High School teacher
  • 1 North Hills Middle School teacher (presumptive positive)
  • 4 North Hills High School students (1 presumptive positive)
  • 1 North Hills Middle School student
  • 1 Highcliff Elementary School student

Since NHSD is operating virtually and our buildings were closed from Friday, Nov. 20 through today, Tuesday, Dec. 1, no further action by the district is needed.

Moving forward, we will continue to update our COVID-19 tracker as new cases are communicated to us daily but reduce our email updates to every few days as necessary. Please refer to the tracker for the most current case information.

The COVID-19 tracker now shows active cases for the last 14 days to allow us to more efficiently keep track of cases in our schools in accordance with state guidance updated late last month.

When a student or staff member tests positive or is presumptive positive for COVID-19, the school principal and/or school nurse should be contacted immediately -- even when the district is operating virtually. This will allow us to more accurately keep track of cases in our district. Click here for complete guidance.
