How to Submit Clearances to NHSD

All volunteers must complete an online Volunteer Intent form prior to submitting clearances to district staff.   

Potential volunteers must present original clearances/exception statement to the main office of their student(s)’s school building. It is highly recommended that potential volunteers bring copies of their clearances as this will expedite the process. Please click here to identify the specific clearances needed and learn how to obtain them

Please note the the Volunteer Clearance Exception Statement (ADA Compliant PDF) must be signed upon arrival at a NHSD school building and witnessed by North Hills staff when clearances are submitted to a NHSD school building main office.

Clearances/exception statement must be submitted to the appropriate building or district office within one (1) month of the volunteer's intended start date.  Clearances are valid for five years.

Upon verifying the original clearances/exception statement, district staff will return the originals back to the individual and retain a copy of each clearance/exception statement.

All volunteers will receive final approval via a written notice from the office of Assistant Superintendent.
