North Hills School District has transitioned to PowerSchool, a new student information system that replaces ProgressBook.
Due to this change, your ProgressBook login and password are no longer valid. All parents and students received logins and passwords to PowerSchool in a letter sent via U.S. mail earlier in August.
Remember, the parent login and password are confidential and shouldn’t be shared with anyone. All students will have their own PowerSchool logins, so parents shouldn’t share information with their students.
PowerSchool significantly upgrades North Hills staff members’ abilities to manage, analyze and communicate student information and data and allows parents to take a more active role in their student’s education.
PowerSchool offers parents real-time access to access grades, attendance, teacher comments, assignments, bulletin boards and other important pieces of student-related information. Access to PowerSchool is available from anywhere in the world through a secure online web portal and a free PowerSchool app that is available for all iOS and Android devices.
With the app, parents also will be able to receive instant push notifications on their mobile devices for attendance or grade changes.
PowerSchool also allows parents to update family demographics such as phone numbers and contact information giving North Hills teachers and staff the most up-to-date contact details for our students. As part of the transition, North Hills also will implement a fully online student registration system.
We will be sharing more information with user instructions and feature highlights closer to the start of the school year.
