School Dismissal Manager
School Dismissal Manager (SDM) allows parents to make changes to a student’s attendance status through a web browser or iOS or Android app, making it no longer necessary to call or email the school. The school is alerted automatically. Student absences, late arrivals and early dismissals should be reported through SDM.
Dismissal changes at the end of the day (normal dismissal time) can also be made through SDM for elementary students only. For middle school and high school students, you must call the school if you have an end-of-day dismissal change that needs to be communicated with your child. (i.e. your child will be picked up by a personal vehicle and should not ride the bus.) It is not necessary to call the middle school or high school if your child knows about the end-of-day dismissal change and you do not need to log the change in SDM.
To set up an account or log in
- Emails on file with the district in PowerSchool will automatically receive the instruction email prior to each school year and at designated times communicated. (The email is from info@schooldismissalmanager.com with "Parent Credentials & Login Instructions for School Dismissal Manager" in the subject line. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder.)
- Established SDM users with the same email address on file will be able to log in as they previously did once the system is activated each school year. If your email address in PowerSchool changed, you will need to create a new SDM account as described above.
- Once logged in, you will see that your child's "default" dismissal has been populated. This is your child's district-assigned dismissal plan.
To add an Exception
- Login to SDM via web browser or iOS or Android app

Day-of dismissal changes must be made by 1 p.m. for high school students and 2 p.m. for middle and elementary school students. You must call the school directly if you need to change a student's dismissal after the times noted.
All attendance policies and procedures remain as defined by the district. A written absence excuse is no longer required when a reason for the absence is given in SDM. Doctor’s notes are still required if the absence exceeds three days. Students arriving late to school must have a note from a parent/guardian explaining the late arrival or it will be unexcused.
Please visit SDM's FAQs page or contact your child’s school directly if you have questions.
