Sept. 19-23 is Safety Week and students will review the district’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and participate in emergency preparedness drills in all buildings.
Staff underwent safety and security training with local law enforcement and emergency service agencies including Ross and West View police, Ross/West View EMS, UPMC Passavant Allegheny Health Network and the North Hills Special Response Team (SRT), prior to the start of the school year.
At Thursday night’s school board meeting, Ross Township Police Officer Pete Chuberko and Sgt. David Eckles, and Ron Coleman with Ross/West View EMS wer publicly recognized for their efforts and accepted special certificates of appreciation for everyone who participated.
NHSD thanks everyone involved and appreciates the ongoing partnership with our school police to keep our schools safe.
