Ross Elementary raises nearly $5,000 for American Heart Association
Ross Elementary School again took part in the American’s Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge, formerly Jump Rope for Heart, this spring, raising $4,561.36 for the nonprofit dedicated to building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The Kids Heart Challenge teaches kids heart-healthy skills and fun ways to get moving. They also have the chance to learn about kids with special hearts.

Students were encouraged to fundraise for a chance to win exciting prizes.

On Monday, May 23, a schoolwide, outdoor assembly was held in which students took part in a variety of heart-healthy activities including jumping rope, obstacle course and games.

Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to help build a heart-healthier community!
