Thank you to our third grade families who attended Monday night's instrument demonstration and parent meeting. We are excited to welcome our newest students into our elementary band and orchestra programs next year!
If your child is interested in playing an instrument next year, please sign up for an instrument fitting by filling out this form no later than Wednesday, May 4. You must also complete a COVID-19 waiver prior to the fitting.
Instrument fittings will take place in all four elementary schools as follows:
- West View: Wednesday, May 4 and Thursday, May 5
- Highcliff: Friday, May 6 and Monday, May 9
- Ross: Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11
- McIntyre: Thursday, May 12 and Friday, May 13
During fittings, our music teachers aim to match students to instruments that fit both their preference and specific physical and musical considerations. Students will be given the opportunity to try up to three instruments and will be sent home with a recommendation from our teachers.
If you missed the informational meeting, please visit the elementary instrumental music Google Classroom for descriptions and videos of the instruments available to students in fourth grade. From your child’s district iPad, use Google Classroom code bpy2cbw and navigate to "Classwork."
Registration will open after instrument fittings take place.
