3rd Annual Trunk or Treat in memory of student Jake Wudarczyk set for Oct. 30

The 3rd Annual Jake Wudarczyk Trunk or Treat will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the North Hills High School (new location). The event will be held rain or shine, however, please note some of the activities may be moved indoors since the forecast is calling for rain. Masks are required indoors in accordance with the state's school mask mandate.

Jake Wudarczyk was a junior at North Hills when he passed away in December of 2016 following a 20-month battle with brain cancer. He was 16 years old.

The event will feature trick-or-treating at trunks decorated by various student, school and community groups, games, a pumpkin carving contest, food and more. Be sure to wear your costumes!

There is no cost to attend but donations will be collected in Jake’s memory for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. You can also donate online at this link.

Raffle items and donations for the concession stand are also being collected. Please use this link to sign up to donate an item. Donated items should be dropped off at the high school by 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29.
