PITTSBURGH -- Congratulations to North Hills senior Josh Bogniard who earned two first place finishes Sunday at the WPIAL swimming championships held at Upper St. Clair High School.
Josh finished first in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. His backstroke time, 49.08, set a pool record!
He will now move on to compete at the state championships on March 20 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg.
In addition to Josh, seniors Sarah Grace Kuchma and Chloe Salopek, juniors Maddie Mahoney, Jewel Thomas, and sophomore Katrina Gurchak competed on Sunday.
Maddie earned a seventh place finish in the 50 freestyle and the girls 400 freestyle relay team of Sarah Grace Kuchma, Maddie Mahoney, Chloe Salopek and Jewel Thomas placed eighth.
