PITTSBURGH -- North Hills School District Board of Education President Allison Mathis has been appointed Sectional Advisor of Pennsylvania School Board Association (
PSBA) Section 5.
There are eight PSBA sections across the state. Section 5 is made up of Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
Sectional advisors focus on promoting the purpose, programs and participation of PSBA across the counties they represent while serving as a liaison to help facilitate communication to and from PSBA.
Mrs. Mathis will actively participate in the PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference, represent PSBA at local school board meetings and serve on PSBA Governing Board-appointed committees.
Like school directors, PSBA sectional advisors are volunteers. Mrs. Mathis was appointed by the PSBA Governing Board. Her term runs through December.
