PITTSBURGH -- The North Hills School District is delaying classes on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The Delay Schedule is as follows:
IN-PERSON STUDENTS
- North Hills High School
- Classes begin at 8:50 a.m. and the delay scheduled posted online is followed
- Buses delayed 1 hour and 30 minutes
- AM A.W. Beattie classes are canceled
- North Hills Middle School
- Highcliff and West View Elementary
- Classes begin at 10:30 a.m.
- Buses delayed 2 hours
- McIntyre and Ross Elementary
- Classes begin at 11:15 a.m.
- Buses delayed 2 hours
Cold breakfast options will be available for limited hours and lunch will be served for students attending in person.
VIRTUAL STUDENTS
Secondary
North Hills High School students who are participating remotely should join their first period class at 8:50 a.m. and follow the delay schedule posted here.
North Hills Middle School students who are participating remotely should join their first period class at 9:35 a.m. and follow the delay schedule posted here.
Elementary
All elementary students who are participating remotely in grades K-5 should join a Zoom with their homeroom teacher as communicated and posted in Google Classroom at the beginning of the delayed school day as follows:
- Highcliff Elementary: 10:45 a.m.
- McIntyre Elementary: 11:15 a.m.
- Ross Elementary: 11:15 a.m.
- West View Elementary: 10:30 a.m.
After the homeroom teacher’s first Zoom, the students who are participating remotely should follow the normal virtual schedule to join synchronous lessons. Be sure to complete the online attendance form.
Curbside Meals
Curbside meals can be picked up at the high school from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the elementary schools to those who pre-ordered. Please note the time change at the elementary schools to accommodate student drop off.
