3 North Hills students earn Top 10 honors at FBLA Leadership Conference

Three North Hills High School students earned Top 10 honors at this year’s Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference.

Congratulations to sophomore Emma Gottschalk (Introduction to Business Procedures, 7th Place), junior Therese Grande (Health Care Administration, 9th Place) and sophomore Gabbie Merriman (Introduction to Event Planning, 9th Place).

The students were recognized as part of the FBLA Competitive Events Program during the Virtual Awards of Excellence on April 13.

Additionally, the North Hills High School chapter of the FBLA earned PA State Project recognition for its annual Big Cookie Sale benefiting the American Heart Association. This year’s sale raised $528.31.

In total, 18 North Hills High School FBLA members participated in the annual statewide conference, eight of whom qualified regionally for the state competition.

NHHS business teachers Kellee Kanith and Nancy DiNicola advised the students.
