COVID-19: Is quarantine required after travel?

Updated Jan. 2021

PITTSBURGH -- Any North Hills School District student or staff member who travels outside of Pennsylvania must either quarantine for 10 days or have a negative COVID-19 test before returning to school.

The COVID-19 test cannot be taken sooner than five days after returning home and must be a PCR/molecular (lab) test. The district will not accept a negative result from a rapid test. You must wait for your lab work to confirm the negative result before returning to school.

All travelers should continue to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days after returning home.
