North Hills High School student positive for COVID-19

PITTSBURGH -- A North Hills High School student who was last in school on Tuesday, Nov. 10, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has reviewed the details of the case and does not believe any students or staff who came in contact with this student this week were in close contact as defined by the CDC and is at-risk of contracting the virus.

This case is not connected to today’s earlier case involving a North Hills High School teacher.

In addition, the student followed all health and safety protocols while in the building and was, like all students and staff, wearing a mask and following social distancing guidelines at all times. As a result, no additional action by the district is necessary.
