Outstanding students recognized at annual NHEA Awards

PITTSBURGH (May 10, 2019) – North Hills students from 6th, 8th and 12th grades were recognized by the North Hills Education Association Thursday night for not only their academic achievements but overall excellence.

The following recipients received an excellence achievement award for the 2018-19 school year:

Also on Thursday night, the NHEA awarded its $1,000 scholarship to senior Anelise McGee. Anelise will attend Duquesne University in the fall to study biomedical engineering.

The association also named its scholarship in honor of longtime teacher MaryLou Stefanko. Going forward, it will be called the MaryLou Stefanko NHEA Scholarship.

Thursday’s awards ceremony took place in the high school auditorium.
