PITTSBURGH -- The 9th annual North Hills High School Choir Madrigal Dinner, presented by the Choral Parents Association, will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria B side. (Please note this is a date and location change from what was originally published.)

The cafeteria will be transformed into a Renaissance era castle banquet hall and the evening will include a royal procession, singing and entertainment. The evening will include a home-cooked pasta meal (thanks to a donation by DeLallo Foods) served by choir members, while the Madrigal Players will present a 15th century-style skit in period costumes with music provided by the Madrigal Choir composed of North Hills students.

This year's skit presented during dinner, "A Knight to Remember," features several scenes involving the royal court, jesters, pages, and a slightly deaf Ancient Knight with arguments about whether the earth is flat, plays on words, and plenty of jokes sure to keep the audience laughing. Following the meal, Madrigal Choir members will perform a mini concert of traditional holiday carols.

Raffle baskets will be available during the evening. Proceeds will benefit the North Hills Choral Program's continuing activities including this spring's music department tour to Busch Gardens, Virginia.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and can be purchased with a credit card or reserved online at www.nhchoiranddrama.net or by calling the North Hills Athletics and Activities office at 412-318-1438.

Seating is limited, so reservations are strongly encouraged.
