Rep. Conor Lamb hosting digital town hall at North Hills Middle School
PITTSBURGH – The North Hills School District hosted U.S. Representative Conor Lamb on November 18 as he held an interactive digital town hall with students from across the greater Pittsburgh area.

About 100 North Hills middle and high school students were in the room with the congressman as he answered questions from North Hills students and others across Pennsylvania’s 17th congressional district, the district he represents, and joined the town hall via livestream.

Topics included the ongoing impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, veterans’ rights legislation, the opioid addiction crisis, health insurance, gun violence and renewing the steel industry in western Pennsylvania.

He also offered advice to students who may want to go into politics later in life and talked about his high school basketball career.

North Hills juniors Ellie Fleischer and Hannah Sciulli moderated the event, which last about an hour. The complete video can be viewed here.

Rep. Lamb held a similar digital town hall last spring at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and schools in Rep. Lamb’s district were also invited to join virtually.
