PITTSBURGH -- Congratulations to North Hills High School senior Theoni Richter whose poem “The Spider in a Burning Neighborhood” was published in the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s 2019 Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology.

Theoni’s work was chosen for publication from more than 200 submissions to the annual Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest. The contest is judged by a committee of Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Sewickley Public Library of the Quaker Valley School District staff.

“The Spider in a Burning Neighborhood,” submitted when Theoni was a junior, can be found on page 147 of the digital version of the anthology.

The annual Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest is open to all Allegheny County high school students in grades 9-12.

The anthology is distributed to all public and school libraries in Allegheny County.
