Sophomore Hannah Sciulli takes 1st place at state science competition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (May 23, 2019) -- Congratulations to North Hills High School sophomore Hannah Sciulli on her success at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) State Competition.

Hannah competed Monday in the category of Zoology and earned as first place award for her experiment on the effects of UV radiation and the survivorship of Drosophila melanogaster, a species of fly commonly known as the fruit fly.

This is her third year qualifying for states and participating in the PJAS program.
