North Hills junior Hannah Sciulli earns Girl Scouts’ highest honor
North Hills High School junior Hannah SciulliPITTSBURGH -- North Hills junior Hannah Sciulli recently earned the Girls Scouts of America’s highest honor, the Gold Award. 

Gold Awards are given to girls in grades nine through 12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through a project that addresses an important community need.

For her project, Hannah worked with local animal shelter Animal Friends and educated the public on cat overpopulation in western Pennsylvania. She also hosted a donation drive for the shelter and helped with adoption events, making recyclable cat toys for the cat residents, and made a map of feral cats Animal Friends found in the community.

Hannah has been a Girl Scout for nine years and is currently the Ambassador of Troop 50146.
