2018 Fall Collage ConcertPITTSBURGH -- North Hills’ annual Fall Collage Concert is set for Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the North Hills Middle School.

The Wind Ensemble will present selections they’re preparing to share later in the year at their performance for the 2020 Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Each additional ensemble will have several of their own selections to perform, however the concert features the opportunity for instrumental and vocal groups to perform together.

Collaborative selections include the combined female voices from the Women’s and Symphonic Choirs with the Chamber Strings on “Dry Your Tears, Afrika” from the movie Amistad; and the combined choirs will join with the Wind Symphony in a chorus of the beloved tune “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

Rounding out the performance will be a set by the Allegheny Brass Band, who collaborates regularly with North Hills High School’s band program and awards music scholarships to two North Hills students each year.

Students are directed by North Hills High School music teachers Lucas Beaver (bands), Shaun Cloonan (choirs), Len Lavelle (bands), and Nick Vranesevic (strings). The Allegheny Brass Band is under the direction of Steve Baldanzi.
