PITTSBURGH -- The North Hills School District has been made aware that the North Hills Hockey Club held unsanctioned tryouts on Saturday, June 27, at the Robert Morris University Island Sports Center and two North Hills students who attended those tryouts have since tested positive for COVID-19.

The North Hills Hockey Club has notified all players and families in attendance, and appropriate measures have been taken.

As we enter the Fourth of July weekend and cases continue to climb in Allegheny County, NHSD reminds students and families to be vigilant about protecting the health, safety and well-being of yourself and those around you.

You are reminded to wear a mask at all times in indoor public places and outdoors where a safe, physical distance of six feet or more between others is not possible, and practice good hygiene including frequent handwashing and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Most importantly, please stay home if you are sick.

If you or your student experiences any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, contact your primary care physician for guidance.
