Highcliff Elementary School celebrated Veterans Day Friday morning with the return of their annual Veterans Day Breakfast. It was the first time the event was held since 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Veterans, their guests and Highcliff students enjoyed a breakfast followed by musical performances by fifth grade band, orchestra and choir students.
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance and then veterans went to classrooms to read books about veterans and the meaning of Veterans Day. They also shared memorabilia with students and answered questions.
