North Hills High School Curriculum Night to be held Jan. 31

Posted Tuesday, January 23, 2024

North Hills High School Curriculum Night for students currently in grades 8-11 will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 6-8 p.m. Students should attend with their parent(s) or guardian(s) as they look to build and finalize their schedules for the 2024-25 school year.

Curricular stations will be set up in the gym with faculty members on hand to answer questions as families browse courses, subject materials and textbooks. High school counselors will also be available in the auditorium to answer any additional questions.

Earlier this month, teachers met with students in grades 9, 10 and 11 to make course recommendations for the upcoming school year and last week, counselors began visiting classrooms to discuss the scheduling process, career pathways at NHHS, and the importance of choosing courses relevant to each student’s academic goals.

Counselors will visit the middle school next week to meet with current eighth grade students about transitioning to high school and the scheduling process.

Resources shared by counselors can be found in the 2024-25 North Hills High School Program of Studies for 2024-25 linked here and available digitally at this link.

The 2024-25 scheduling window will be open from Jan. 29 through Feb. 9. Students input their course selections into PowerSchool at this time.

Once the scheduling window closes, counselors will meet with individual students to review selected courses and academic plans before schedules are built in the spring.

Students and families should contact their school counselor with questions.
