Limited guests now allowed at Grade 5 End-of-Year Celebrations

Posted Thursday, May 13, 2021

As announced Tuesday by Gov. Tom Wolf, the maximum capacity for indoor gatherings will increase to 50 percent on Monday, May 17.

As such, each fifth grade student will now be given two (2) tickets to their school’s end-of-year celebration. This will allow two (2) guests to attend the ceremony in person. The events will still be streamed live on NHSD's YouTube channel for those unable to attend in-person.

The celebrations will be held in each elementary school on Tuesday, May 25 and Wednesday, May 26 as follows:

  • Highcliff: Tuesday, May 25 at 9:15 a.m.*
  • McIntyre: Wednesday, May 26 at 11 a.m.
  • Ross: Tuesday, May 25 at 11:15 a.m.*
  • West View: Wednesday, May 26 at 9 a.m.

*Please note the time changes for Highcliff and Ross.

No one will be permitted to enter without a ticket. Two (2) tickets will be sent home with the student in the days prior to the ceremony. Please keep them in a safe place and bring them with you to school on the day of the celebration. There will be no accommodations for lost tickets on the day of the event.

No more than two tickets will be issued to any student and no exceptions will be made under any circumstance.

On the day of the ceremony, guests will be directed to a designated seating area where they should remain for the duration of the ceremony.

Masks will be required at all times and guests should remain socially distant from those not in their household.

Attendees will be directed to exit promptly after the ceremony. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, interaction with the students will not be permitted before or after the ceremony. Students will remain with their teacher and return to their classroom once the event is over.

Please contact your student’s principal with questions.
