NHHS student positive for COVID-19

PITTSBURGH -- One additional North Hills High School student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was last in school on Friday, Nov. 13.

The student was routinely tested for work and remains asymptomatic. After reviewing the details of the case, the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has determined no further action by the district is necessary.

As a reminder, the district will shift to the Virtual operational model tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 18 through Friday, Dec. 4. All students should join their classes remotely on each school day and be sure to submit the daily attendance form.

There is no school Wednesday, Nov. 25 through Monday, Nov. 30 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

On all virtual days, students will follow the same time schedule they have followed under the Hybrid operational model. Hybrid is scheduled to resume in all buildings on Monday, Dec. 7.

If we want our schools to reopen on Dec. 7, it’s now more important than ever that our students, staff and families follow CDC guidelines at all times. Please watch the video below from Dr. Mannarino about our shift to full Virtual.
