PITTSBURGH -- NHSD has three new district COVID-19 cases to report:
- A Ross Elementary School student who was last in school on Nov. 13.
- A Highcliff Elementary School student who was last in school on Nov. 17.
- A Ross Elementary School staff member who was last in school on Nov. 20.
The Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has reviewed the details of each case.
With both of the student cases, no additional action by the district is necessary.
Individuals who came in close contact as defined by the CDC with the Ross Elementary School staff member have been contacted by the school at the request of the ACHD with instructions to quarantine.
As a reminder, the ACHD is responsible for quarantining individuals, not the district. However, due to the heavy county caseload, we have agreed to assist in notifying families in order to make sure all information is received in a timely manner.
