Posted Tuesday, November 24, 2020

PITTSBURGH -- NHSD is announcing one new COVID-19 case today, Tuesday, Nov. 24: a Highcliff Elementary School staff member who was last in school on Nov. 20.

After reviewing the timeline and details of the case, the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has determined no additional action is necessary by the district.

As previously announced via email on Monday evening, Nov. 23, two additional NHSD staff members tested positive for COVID-19: a McIntyre Elementary School staff member who was last in school on Nov. 11 and a Ross Elementary School teacher who was last in school on Nov. 17.

Like Tuesday's case, the ACHD has determined no additional action is necessary by the district following Monday's cases.

North Hills’ COVID-19 Tracker has been updated to now show active cases in the district and each building for the last 14 days instead of 10. This change will allow us to more efficiently keep track of cases in our schools in accordance with the new state guidance released Nov. 23 while being as transparent as possible for our families.
