PITTSBURGH (May 20, 2019) -- North Hills High School seniors
Marissa Karpinski and Cheryl Yue were recognized for their outstanding
achievement at the Society for Analytical Chemists and the Pittsburgh Section
of the ACS Annual Awards Dinner on May 14.
Marissa and Cheryl were among 80 students from western Pennsylvania chosen to participate in the Pittsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society’s 2019 Secondary School Chemistry Contest at the University of Pittsburgh.
They were also selected to participate in the National ACS Olympiad Exam at Duquesne University.
Cheryl and Marissa completed CHS Chemistry and Honors
Chemistry, respectively, during their sophomore years and are currently
enrolled in AP Chemistry as they finish up their senior year.
