PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster
surprised students at Ross Elementary School Tuesday.
Jess Porter, a third and fourth grade learning support teacher at Ross, shared pictures of some of her students wearing JuJu jerseys earlier this month on her Instagram account
and JuJu responded!
He reached out to Ms. Porter himself and arranged for the surprise visit.
He first met with fourth-graders Hayley Dohn and Luca Garcia, whose idea it was to tag JuJu in the Instagram post in hopes he’d respond.
Smith-Schuster then joined other fourth graders at recess playing catch and running sprints on the football field.
He also signed autographs, took selfies and visited with students in the cafeteria.
In addition, he signed several footballs for Ms. Porter’s students before he left.
What an awesome experience for our kids. Thank you for visiting, JuJu!
