PITTSBURGH -- Congratulations to this year’s North Hills Excellence Achievement Award winners.
Sponsored each year by the North Hills Education Association, North Hills Excellence Achievement Awards are presented to a select number of sixth, eighth and twelve grade students through a committee nomination and voting process. This year, fifth grade students were also honored as it is their last year in their respective elementary buildings.
The chosen students demonstrate not only academic success but positive personality traits and an outstanding work ethic.
"The North Hills Education Association Executive Board thanks you for instilling such a wonderful love of learning and strong work ethic into your child,” Tina P. Norman, NHEA Secretary and Awards Chairperson, wrote in a letter notifying families of their student’s award. “Typically, we would hold an awards ceremony at North Hills High School to present these phenomenal students with their awards. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances going on in our world right now, we are unable to celebrate with these students in person. It is always an evening we enjoy greatly and will truly miss."
