Wrestling defeats Penn-Trafford, will face Thomas Jefferson

On Monday, the North Hills varsity wrestling team took on Penn-Trafford in the first round of the WPIAL 3A playoff tournament.

North Hills got off to a good start, opening the match with an advantage of more than 20 points. Penn-Trafford battled back to keep the match close, but with two bouts remaining, the Indians clinched a victory. The final score was 40-25.

With the win, the boys advance to face Thomas Jefferson in the second round. That match will take place on Wednesday, January 29, at 6 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson High School.
