The spring sports season is upon us, and as a new season officially begins, the winter season has officially come to a close for the teams at North Hills.

This past weekend featured two competitions for winter student-athletes: the WPIAL Swimming Championships and the PIAA West Regional for wrestling. Both events had spots in the PIAA Championships on the line.

In swimming, the best result for the Indians was a ninth-place finish by the girls' 200 free relay. Almost all swimmers improved upon their qualifying times, so it was a successful event for North Hills, even without any student-athletes qualifying for the state meet.

In wrestling, Carter Morvay and Cam Healey both wrestled well on day one of competition and advanced to day two in the West Regional. Despite their strong efforts, both wrestlers fell short of advancing to the PIAA Championships.

With no one advancing to the next round of competition, the winter sports season is wrapped up. Congratulations to our swimmers, wrestlers, and all other winter athletes on an exciting season!
