North Hills School District will be featured in Times Square on Friday, Sept. 18, when a commemorative photo highlighting the district's commitment to the Do No Harm movement appears on one of the landmark destination’s digital billboards.

The photo will be displayed for 15 seconds every hour, beginning at 12:05 a.m. and continuing through 11:05 p.m. Community members can watch for the display throughout the day using this Times Square live webcam.

The photo was taken Aug. 6 when Dr. Donald Sheffield dedicated his book, Bringing America Greatness: A Message for the 250th Anniversary — "Speaking Virtue to Leadership," to North Hills School District in recognition of its commitment to fostering belonging, respect and leadership.

Featured in the photo are Dr. Sheffield; Superintendent Dr. Patrick Mannarino; Board of Education President Allison Mathis; Director of Student and Community Engagement LaMont Lyons; current student leaders; and North Hills alumni from the Classes of 2025 and 2026. The students and alumni represented the Diversity Club, Student Athlete Leadership Team and other mentoring groups.

North Hills incorporates Dr. Sheffield’s Do No Harm message and the 4 As — Accepted, Acknowledged, Appreciated and Paid Attention to — into its work with students, staff and the community. The Times Square display will highlight Dr. Sheffield’s work and North Hills’ efforts to create a culture in which individuals feel seen, valued and empowered.

The district invites the North Hills community to tune in, watch for the photo and share in this exciting moment from Pittsburgh to Times Square.
