Updated

North Hills Cares has opened registration for its Summer Lunch Program.

Free lunches are available to all children ages 18 and under (including preschoolers), Monday through Friday from June 8 through August 21. Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at North Hills United Presbyterian Church, located at 100 Bellevue Avenue in West View.

Lunches will include a mix of hot and cold options, fresh fruits and vegetables daily, new menu items, and pizza on Fridays. Smaller portions are available for children under age six. All meals must be consumed on site; however, each child may take home one item from their meal that does not require refrigeration.

In addition to lunch, children can enjoy activities such as story time and visits with therapy dogs.

Please note: Lunch service may be temporarily relocated to Ridgewood Church or the West View HUB in the event of extreme weather or other extenuating circumstances.

Sign up for the lunch program here.

Volunteers are also needed. More information is available on the North Hills Cares website.
