Friday night was a memorable one for North Hills basketball — especially for junior guard Nathan Schanbacher.
Schanbacher scored his 1,000th career point as the Indians defeated rival North Allegheny, 77-65. The win marked North Hills’ 10th straight victory over NA and extended the team’s current winning streak to seven games.
While Schanbacher’s milestone was a highlight of the night, it was a true team effort for the Indians. North Hills received strong contributions across the lineup to pull away and secure the important section win.
With the victory, North Hills now stands alone in second place in Class 6A Section 1, continuing to build momentum as the season moves forward.
