The North Hills School District will once again bring students, families and community members together this spring for its annual Kickin’ it for Kids event, a day centered on fun, inclusion and giving back.

The event on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will take place on the multi-purpose field at the district’s hilltop campus.

The highlight of the day is the “Kickin’ it Together” kickball game, designed to be inclusive for participants of all ages and abilities, including individuals with disabilities. Rather than traditional teams, participants rotate in and out of the game, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to take part.

In addition to the kickball game, the event will feature a range of activities aimed at engaging attendees of all ages. Student-run booths hosted by high school clubs will offer games and interactive experiences, while attractions such as inflatables, a touch-a-truck experience and a community dance party will add to the festive atmosphere. Food options from  Becco's Hot Dogs, On A Roll Catering, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Usual Grind Coffee Truck, will also be available throughout the event.

A student color run is also planned as part of the festivities, adding an energetic and colorful element to the day’s activities, weather permitting.

“Kickin’ it for Kids” is organized by the North Hills High School Buddy Club and class officers, reinforcing the district’s emphasis on student leadership and service. Proceeds from the event support charitable causes, including organizations that benefit individuals with special needs.

In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors.
