10 swimmers to compete in 2026 WPIAL Swimming Championships

Ten North Hills athletes will compete this Thursday and Friday, February 26-27, at the WPIAL 3A Swimming Championships at Trees Pool on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.

North Hills swimmers qualified in the boys’ and girls’ 200 Medley Relay, boys’ and girls’ 200 Freestyle Relay, and the girls’ 400 Freestyle Relay. In individual events, Ella Crowley, Ayla Werner, and Thea Crowley will compete in the Girls’ 50 Freestyle, while Nathan Liang will swim the Boys’ 50 Freestyle and the Boys’ 100 Backstroke. Casey Chen will represent North Hills in the Girls’ 100 Breaststroke.

Girls 200 Medley Relay: Ayla Werner, Julia Nease, Casey Chen, Ella Crowley
 Alternates: Thea Crowley, Kenley McCurdy, Emilia Mintz

Boys 200 Medley Relay: Nathan Liang, Lukas Hartung, Eli Parker, Ian Mager
 Alternate: Greyson Schomaker

Girls 200 Free Relay: Ayla Werner, Thea Crowley, Emilia Mintz, Ella Crowley
 Alternates: Julia Nease, Casey Chen, Kenley McCurdy

Boys 200 Free Relay: Eli Parker, Ian Mager, Lukas Hartung, Nathan Liang
 Alternate: Greyson Schomaker

Girls 400 Free Relay: Ella Crowley, Julia Nease, Thea Crowley, Ayla Werner
 Alternates: Kenley McCurdy, Emilia Mintz, Casey Chen

Girls 50 Free: Ella Crowley, Ayla Werner, Thea Crowley
Boys 50 Free: Nathan Liang
Boys 100 Back: Nathan Liang
Girls 100 Breast: Casey Chen

For fans attending the championships, spectators will not be permitted to enter the building until 6:00 a.m. Tickets will go on sale at 7:30 a.m., with a limit of four per person. Fans may enter the pool area beginning at 8:45 a.m.

All tickets are $10 and must be purchased at the gate. Online ticket sales will not be available.
