Celebrate Diversity Month: High school unites through handprints

"Hate Has No Home Here" banner

On April 24, in recognition of Celebrate Diversity Month, the North Hills High School Diversity Club hosted a handprint activity during all lunch periods. Students were invited to leave their mark on two banners that will be displayed in the school.

One banner reads, "Hate Has No Home Here," while the other features a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

The display serves as a powerful reminder of our collective commitment to unity, love, and inclusion. There is strength in our diversity.

Celebrate Diversity Month, observed annually in April, celebrates the richness of different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions. It is a time to honor what makes each of us unique and to promote understanding and mutual respect.
