Boys' volleyball draws Greater Latrobe in WPIAL first round
The regular season is complete for the varsity boys' volleyball team, and for the first time in nearly 30 years, they have their sights set on the postseason.
The Indians clinched a playoff spot earlier this week and finished the season with a 7-3 section record, which was good for a second-place tie in Class 3A Section 4.
Now, North Hills will be the 14-seed in the 3A bracket and face Greater Latrobe. The Wildcats posted a 15-1 record this season, winning Section 2. North Hills and Greater Latrobe did not meet during the regular season.
The first-round matchup between North Hills and Greater Latrobe is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, at 7:00 PM at Greater Latrobe High School. The winner will go on to face the winner of the Penn-Trafford/Peters Township first-round match.
Fans planning to attend Tuesday's match can purchase tickets via GoFan. Student tickets purchased online will be $5, and adult tickets will be $7. All tickets sold at the gate on Tuesday will be $7.
Congratulations to our boys' volleyball team on an impressive regular season, and good luck in the playoffs!
