On Monday, the WPIAL released its 2026 basketball brackets, as both the North Hills varsity basketball teams learned their seed, opponent, and game information.

Please note that both the boys' and girls' 6A brackets have been amended since their initial release. The information listed here is the most accurate and up-to-date for fans to follow.

The girls' basketball team was given the ninth seed in the 6A bracket, which will put them on the road in the first round against Mt. Lebanon. North Hills took down Mt. Lebanon once already this season, defeating the Blue Devils 42-33 on January 19.

The rematch will be played at Mt. Lebanon High School on Monday, February 16, at 6:00 p.m.. Tickets will be available for the first-round game online via GoFan, as well as at the door. (All tickets at the door will be $7).

Meanwhile, the boys' team was given the sixth seed in their bracket, putting them in position to host Imani Christian Academy in round one. North Hills comes into the matchup on a three-game winning streak and in search of its first playoff win since 2023.

The North Hills-Imani game will also be played on Monday, February 16, but will be a home game for North Hills. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at the North Hills Middle School. As is the case for the girls' game, tickets are available online or at the door. (All tickets at the door will be $7).

Congratulations to both teams for qualifying for the playoffs, and good luck in the first round!
