Baseball to face Canon-McMillan in WPIAL playoffs
The varsity baseball team wrapped up its regular season last week, and on Friday learned what its first-round playoff matchup will look like.
It was a slow start to the season for the varsity baseball team, but a 6-5 record in the second half of the season got the Indians on the right track, clinching a playoff spot with a couple of weeks to play.
Now, as the fourth-place team in Class 6A Section 1, North Hills will face the Section 2 champion, the Canon-McMillan Big Macs. North Hills and Canon-McMillan did not meet during the regular season.
The first-round matchup between North Hills and Canon-McMillan is scheduled for Monday, May 19, at Boyce Mayview Park at 4:00. The winner will go on to face the winner of the Seneca Valley/Mt. Lebanon game.
Fans planning to attend the Indians' first-round game can purchase tickets via GoFan. Student tickets purchased online will be $5, and adult tickets will be $7. All tickets sold at the gate will be $7.
Congratulations to our varsity baseball team on qualifying for the playoffs, and good luck in the first round!
