ABC Transit, Inc.

North Hills School District contracts with ABC Transit, Inc. for all transportation.

Transportation Policy No. 809 includes guidelines for eligibility, bus conduct and discipline, transportation for children with special needs, transportation of non-public students, kindergarten policy and other pertinent information. All district buses utilize video and audio recording equipment.

School Bus Information

A student’s school bus number, bus stop location and pick up and drop off times are located in PowerSchoool under the "Transportation Info" tab. Please note: You must be signed in to PowerSchool via a web browser. Transportation information is not available in the PowerSchool app.

Reminders

All students should arrive at their bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled pick up time.
A parent, guardian, or responsible designee must meet kindergarten students at the bus stop after school.

Stopfinder

Stopfinder is North Hills School District’s transportation app, providing families with convenient access to student transportation information.

With Stopfinder, families can:

View morning and afternoon bus numbers, stop locations, and pickup and drop-off times
Track their student’s bus in real time
Create GeoAlerts for locations along the bus route
Share transportation schedules with trusted users, such as grandparents, babysitters, or older siblings

Account Activation

Stopfinder sends an activation email to the student’s primary contact, listed as Contact 1 in PowerSchool. Only the primary contact will receive this email. After activating the account, the primary contact can share the student's schedule with additional users.

To get started:

Open the activation email from Stopfinder. (Will be sent on Aug. 13, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year)
Select the activation link and create a password.
Download the free Stopfinder app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Sign in to view your student’s transportation information.

Using Stopfinder

Share your Student's Schedule

To share a student’s schedule with an additional user:

Tap the three-dot menu to the right of the student’s name.
Select Share Schedule.
Enter the user’s information and select Share.

Create a GeoAlert

GeoAlerts notify you when your student’s bus enters or leaves a selected area, such as the assigned bus stop or school.

To create a GeoAlert:

Tap the student’s bus number or route to open the map.
Tap the red GeoAlert button at the bottom of the screen.
Select Add GeoAlert and follow the prompts.
